TakeAI is being developed by M3rcury Labs Ltd. This page describes the current preview and the services it uses.

Accounts

Supabase handles account registration and sign-in. When you choose Google or Apple, we receive the account identifier, email address, and any name you choose to share. Supabase manages passwords and sign-in tokens; TakeAI stores a hashed API session identifier.

Your footage and edits

Your selected uploads, transcripts, editing instructions, thumbnails, and exports are stored on the TakeAI server under your account. Video processing uses FFmpeg and Whisper on that server. Your footage is not sent to an external generative AI service for editing.

Local timeline projects

The full timeline editor saves projects in this browser on this device. Clearing browser data can remove those projects. Keep copies of your original footage and exports.

Analytics and error reporting

We use PostHog for page and sign-in analytics, identified by an account ID after sign-in. We disable automatic interaction capture and session replay. Sentry receives technical diagnostics to help investigate errors. TakeAI does not intentionally include your passwords, sign-in tokens, transcripts, or video content in analytics events.

Apple purchases

The iPhone app uses Superwall and Apple’s StoreKit to display subscription offers and manage Apple purchases. These services receive your app account identifier and purchase status when used. Launch plans are still being configured.

Removing videos

Delete video in the studio removes the source and exported files for that project. Download anything you want to keep first.

Preview status

Account deletion, retention settings, and support contact information are still being finalized for the public release. This preview should not be used as your only copy of important footage.
